Ambercor Shipping USA and Origin FGL Lojistik Successfully Execute Heavy-Lift Tank Transport from Turkey to the United States
New York | Ambercor Shipping USA, member of the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC), in close cooperation with fellow WWPC Partner Origin FGL Lojistik, has successfully completed the transportation of three oversized tanks from Turkey to the United States in a complex, multimodal operation.
The shipment consisted of two tanks measuring 40 x 4 x 4.3 meters and weighing 90 tons each, along with one tank measuring 20 x 4.2 x 4.3 meters and weighing 48 tons.
The project commenced with inland transportation via specialized trailers from the manufacturing facility in Bandirma, Türkiye, to Gemlik Port. From there, the cargo was loaded onto a chartered heavy-lift vessel for ocean transport to New Orleans. Upon arrival in the United States, the tanks were transshipped onto river barges for final delivery to their destination in New York State. The operation required detailed route surveys, engineering assessments, port coordination, and precise scheduling to ensure safe handling of the oversized and heavy cargo throughout each stage of transport.
"This shipment demonstrates the strength of collaboration within the Worldwide Project Consortium network," said Willy Hoffmann, Vice President Project Sales for Ambercor Shipping USA.
"Through close coordination with Origin FGL Lojistik, we ensured seamless execution from factory collection in Turkey to final delivery in the United States. Complex heavy-lift and project cargo movements like this require deep technical expertise and trusted international partnerships."
This successful project further highlights the capabilities of both WWPC partners in managing complex, cross-border heavy-lift and project cargo operations with precision, reliability, and efficiency.
