Ambercor Shipping USA successfully delivers two heavy cold boxes for major industrial project

Erie, Pennsylvania | Ambercor Shipping, the exclusive USA member of the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC), has completed the safe and efficient transport of two oversized cold boxes as part of a complex multimodal project cargo move.

One of the oversized cold boxes weighed 140 tons (127 tonnes) and measured 38.55 m x 5.35 m x 4.08 m, with the other weighing 68 tons (61.7 tonnes) and measuring 17.1 m x 5.43 m x 3.21 m.

Part of a multimodal project cargo move, Ambercor initially picked up the boxes from Shanghai, before transporting them to Taicang port. From here, they were transported to the port of Erie in Pennsylvania via ocean vessel, with both items then directly discharged onto a deck barge for the final leg of their journey to the project site.
