Ottawa, ON, 24 OCT, 2024 – As was advised by the Port of Montreal earlier today, the Longshore Workers Union, representing the Dock Workers at the Port of Montreal (POM), has issued a 72 hour notice of a strike action, which is to take place on Sunday, October 27th at 00:01 and will last for a period of 24 hours.

Due to this 24 hour work stoppage, CN will cancel our intermodal train departing from Brampton to POM on Saturday, October 26th, and will cancel our intermodal train departing from the POM, to all inland destinations, on Sunday, October 27th.

Further to our intermodal train cancellations, we will also be monitoring the gate capacity that has been provided, to ensure that the customer specific allocations matches the adjusted outbound train plan. Any required changes to POM gate capacity will be communicated to the impacted customers with as much advance notice as possible.

We appreciate your patience and understanding, and do apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Please do not hesitate to contact the Customer Experience Team or your Account Manager should you have questions or require further information.
