Gerald Hess
President
A seasoned project transportation professional with over 44 years of experience in the industry. Having begun his career in Hamburg, Germany, his native town, with the highly recognized company J.H. Bachmann, he transferred in 1982 to their young operation in Canada. Having risen to Vice President, he co-founded Albacor Shipping Inc. in 1998. Albacor Shipping was built out into an organisation with 20 offices in 4 countries with 140 employees before it was acquired by BNSF Logistics LLC in 2012.
He acted for another 5 years as President and Managing Director of BNSF Logistics Canada, Inc. until leaving that organization and deciding upon a new challenge as independent freight forwarder with the founding of Ambercor Shipping in 2018. His goal for Ambercor Shipping is to built a strong team and presence in North America.
He carries the distinguished PFF (Professional Freight Forwarder) designation awarded by the Canadian International Freight Forwarders Association.
Marcel Hafemann
Vice President
Marcel has been in the forwarding & shipping industry for more than 15 years already and started his career as apprentice at Militzer & Muench in Berlin, Germany to become an international transportation & logistics professional.
He completed his apprenticeship successfully and joined Kuehne+Nagel where he gained a deeper insight into the project business. During this time, Marcel played a key role in the Oil & Gas / Petrochemical, Power-Gen, renewable energy, mining and minerals business development and successfully expanding project cargo for Kuehne+Nagel within Europe and the CIS countries.
In 2012 he moved to Canada, where he worked at Albacor Shipping, which later became BNSF Logistics for over 6 years. He has proven ability to manage and achieve targets set within the work scope, with a dynamic approach to business opportunities and daily challenges by equally developing solutions and continuous enhancement for company's biz targets.
In 2018 Marcel became a founding partner at Ambercor Shipping and has since then been instrumental in growing and maintaining key client relationships while working with all areas of the business to deliver transformational results.
Furthermore, he is giving his employees the opportunity to become transportation & logistics professional by offering them the development tools they need to grow along with the organization.
Christian Wagner
Vice President
A self-motivated individual with extensive experience in creating and developing high value, high performance logistics and operations in various industries such as: Oil & Gas, Power-Gen, Project related logistics, Retail, Manufacturing, Distribution, Construction, etc. He has led and directed multi-site teams and operations in North America, Asia, South America, and Europe.
Christian started his career, after he graduated with honors from university in 2002, in Antwerp, Belgium in the Ocean Shipping and Ocean Brokerage. He was then transferred to Militzer & Muench in Berlin, Germany, where he became a key role and key account manager for several large manufacturers in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical, Power-Gen, renewable energy, mining and minerals business with heavy focus on Europe, CIS-Countries, Middle East and China. During his time at M&M, Christian was sent to the US to consult their American partner in developing business towards the key markets.
In 2007 Christian accepted a new challenge and moved to Greece for a subdivision on Kuehne & Nagel, managing the operations for the rail system through of KN throughout the Balkan, Greece & Turkey. In 2011 KN moved Christian back to Berlin, where he took over 2 hats, Business Development Manager for projects and also to consult and develop system rail traffic for strategic customer in Europe along with high-level corridor development programs supported by the European Union.
In 2013 Christian moved to Canada where he worked at Albacor Shipping, which later became BNSF Logistics for over 5 years in the role of Director Western Region overseeing multiple offices and coordinating large scale projects in the region.
A recognized team builder with an open, common sense, hands on approach to operations that enable effective communication with every level of management and line personnel. Experience and ability to create a vision, mission and strategies, incorporate the desired values, and drive business and individual objectives to achieve and exceed goals.

Willy Hoffmann
Vice President Project Sales
Willy Hoffmann will work with Ambercor's forwarding & project teams to strengthen its presence in North America.
He brings more than 40 years of experience in the shipping, freight forwarding, logistics and transportation industries to the role. Prior roles included Senior Vice President at BNSF Logistics, Senior Vice President & shareholder of Albacor Shipping USA and Senior Vice President for J.H. Bachmann NYC. Willy Hoffmann started his career in Germany and worked in Saudi Arabia and South Korea before coming to the USA in 1986.
Ngodup Khangsar
Operations Manager
Ngodup has earned his wings working with Marcel during the last several years on major projects in North America and brings extensive operational experience with him.
As Ambercor's Project Manager, he takes great pride in showcasing the skills of his team through their ability to provide innovative transportation concepts that positively impact our customers supply chains. He places extra importance on the project coordination process.
Ngodup is passionate about building strong relationships with vendors & suppliers around the globe.
