Large Gas-fired Power Plant to Middle East

Norfolk, Virginia, USA | Ambercor being part of a large gas-fired power plant project in the Middle East.

Ambercor Shipping handled an export shipment of two (2) large power utility sized Generator, each 1,028 x 392 x 406 cm – 342,555 kgs through the Port of Norfolk, Virginia, USA.

Each generator was welded to a 20-axle depressed center flat car, arriving by rail with Norfolk Southern at the Norfolk International Terminals for loading onto a self propelled modular transporter. Once the vessel have arrived in the port, the SPMT with the cargo was placed alongside for the vessel to receive the generator with its own gear (own-board cranes) at pier Norfolk.

One (1) more generator is to come later this year.
